Two Powerhouse Women: What I Learned from Photographing the Million Dollar Room Founders

When Their Confidence Walked Through the Door

You know those moments when time seems to pause for just a second?

That’s what happened when I first met Anisa Crespo and Natosha Marie for a recent branding session with GOSS Magazine. These two women, founders of The Million Dollar Room, walked onto the scene radiating a presence that was impossible to ignore. Poised, confident, and full of heart, they weren’t just there to take pictures—they were there to tell their story. I just had the honor of helping shape how that story would be seen.

As a photographer who lives for emotional depth and meaningful connection, I came away from this session not just inspired but completely moved. This wasn’t your average photoshoot. This was about honoring ambition, capturing feminine strength, and celebrating a legacy in the making.

The Magic That Happens When Women Are Seen

So often, especially in portrait photography, it’s easy to focus only on the outward visuals—lighting, backdrop, camera settings. But the real magic happens when women feel safe to be fully seen. That’s the heart behind what I do at Terialina Photography: helping incredible women recognize their own light.

When Anisa and Natosha arrived for their branding session, I saw two women who had poured unimaginable hours, effort, passion, and grit into building something powerful. Anisa travels across the country, speaking to rooms filled with thousands of women. Natosha is running events here in Orange County, producing a podcast, and appearing on television and in magazines. These women don’t just dream big—they live it.

But you know what stood out most during the session?

The way they laughed.

The way they talked about their mission.

The way Anisa lit up when she described how their community uplifts women with real resources, conversations, and purpose-driven impact.

That’s what I wanted to honor with every shutter click. And that’s what I think every woman deserves in front of the camera—a moment to celebrate who she is at her core.

What I Learned from Photographing Powerhouse Women

1. Confidence Isn’t Loud – It’s Rooted in Purpose

Anisa and Natosha didn’t need to force bravado or picture-perfect poses. They embodied a calm, effortless confidence because they deeply believed in the impact of their work. That’s the kind of energy that translates beautifully into photos.

  • Whether you’re a business owner, artist, mom, or all of the above, remember that showing up with heart is always enough.
  • Authentic passion often comes through your posture, your expression, even the way you hold your hands. It’s more photogenic than you think.

2. A Photoshoot Can (and Should) Feel Empowering

These women didn’t just stand in front of a backdrop and say cheese. They told jokes, shared stories, played music, and allowed themselves to feel joy.

  • Your branding photos—or family session, or maternity shoot—should never feel stiff or clinical.
  • When you’re guided with warmth and given the space to relax, that calm confidence flows naturally.
  • I believe in leading every session with gentleness so you feel celebrated, not scrutinized.

3. The Right Environment Creates Magic

We shot in an environment where they felt comfortable, supported, and safe to express themselves fully—and that made all the difference.

  • Whether we’re surrounded by beach cliffs or tucked into a garden trail, the setting should reflect your spirit.
  • For branding sessions especially, I pay close attention to color, movement, layering, and natural light so the images fully align with your voice.

4. Photographing Legacies Starts with Listening

Before I took a single photo, I listened to Anisa and Natosha’s passion. That’s what shaped everything—from how I posed them to the kind of light I looked for.

  • I always start by learning your story—because photography is about capturing more than appearances. It’s about connection.
  • You deserve someone who listens first, and directs with intention afterward.

Why These Portraits Made Me Emotional

Leaving that session, I felt floored. Inspired. Humbled.

It reminded me that powerful images don’t come from perfect hair or stiff poses—they come from real energy and emotion. From stories that matter.

One of the biggest joys of what I do is capturing the essence of a person. I watch for the sparkle in your laugh, the softness in your gaze, the fire when you speak your dreams out loud. That’s what I want you to walk away with—images that hold on to those feelings.

If there’s one thing Anisa and Natosha taught me, it’s this: When a woman steps into her truth, and is seen in that truth, she becomes unforgettable.
